Wom-Tom News
Some bad news that has happened since we last updated this site is one of our staff workers, Linda (Thomlinson) Serini, passed away in September of 2003 and my husband, Donald Huebner, passed away in June of 2004. My daughter, Karen Puzar, and my grandson, Dustin Huebner, have transferred to Germany in January of 2004 with Karen's husband, Richard, in his civil service job. They like it, I think it's too far away!! Some good news, we have been back in Missouri since May of 2002; my daughter, Jacqueline Huebner, married Byron Baker, son of Dennis and LaDonna (Gibson) Baker in April of 2003; and my sister, Kathy (Womble) Mowery is now on our staff and is doing a lot of obituary and cemtery work in Stoddard County along with helping with Book 5. My brother, Marvin Womble, also came across two headstones on private property while he was cutting wood. We previously did not have these two stones in any of the cemeteries, so this cemetery will be coming out in Book 5 under Shaner-Smith Gravestones. March 18, 2009 Things have not progressed as planned!!! I had a heart attack in September of 2007 which caused a host of things to happen - the biggest of which was that blood clots went down into both legs and caused my toes to die on my right foot. On October 22, 2007, my toes were amputated. I got to go home for the first time since my heart attack on December 5, 2007. After being home for about 10 days, I got a staph infection in my foot and had to go back into the hospital on December 17, 2007 for another 3 weeks. I've been having to go back in the hospital off and on now for kidney problems and critically high potassium levels. At this time I don't want to set any dates as to when we'll be able to get the other cemetery books completed. However, we are still working on them.
